For the third year in a row, CCS has earned the N.C. Purple Star Award Designation, affirming the district’s support of military students and their families. One-hundred percent of the schools in the district earned the coveted designation.

The NCSPRA announced that the CCS Communications and Community Engagement team received 12 Blue Ribbon Awards in the categories of Marketing, Publications, Special Events & Programs, Digital Media Engagement, Photography and Excellence in Writing.

In CCS, 98.9% of schools increased their composite proficiency scores on state-mandated assessments. District composite proficiency scores increased from 36.8 to 47.3, an increase of more than 10 points!
