“What’s Right with CCS”

CCS Launches “What’s Right with CCS” to Spotlight Excellence Across the District

Cumberland County Schools (CCS) is proud to launch What’s Right with CCS, a new initiative focused on sharing the people, programs and moments that reflect the excellence happening across the district every day.

What’s Right with CCS celebrates the real people and real stories that make Cumberland County Schools an outstanding place to learn, work and grow. From inspiring students and dedicated educators to innovative programs and strong community partnerships, the initiative highlights the meaningful work taking place across CCS schools and departments.

Through this effort, the district is intentionally elevating stories that showcase its wide range of opportunities, including Career and Technical Education programs, choice options, workforce development pathways and school-based initiatives that support student success. Together, these stories reflect the pride, opportunity and excellence found throughout Cumberland County Schools.

Families, staff, students, alumni and community partners are encouraged to submit stories that highlight significant accomplishments, impactful initiatives and efforts that deserve broader recognition. Submissions may be considered for inclusion in Superintendent Dr. Eric C. Bracy’s updates to the Board of Education and may also be featured on the district website, social media platforms or shared with local media. Even if a story is not selected for a featured video or board presentation, it may still be shared to help amplify the great work taking place across the district.

Cumberland County Schools will continue to use goodnews@ccs.k12.nc.us to collect and celebrate everyday positive moments and “good news” highlights. What’s Right with CCS is designed to elevate stories with broader impact and significance that reflect the district’s excellence at a higher level.
