CCS Celebrates its 2027 'Of the Year' Winners

Join Cumberland County Schools in congratulating its recently announced 2027 top Premier Professionals --- Principal of the YearMarcus Stewart at Sunnyside Elementary School,  Assistant Principal of the Dr. Pierre Cobb at Pine Forest High School, Teacher of the Year Janice Swoope at Reid Ross Classical School and Beginning Teacher of the Year Charles Houston at New Century International Middle School. We are incredibly proud ofeach of them. They are shining examples of CCS Excellence!

DON'T FORGET - CCS Excellence: Family Support Request Form

CCS has launched the new CCS Excellence: Family Support Request Form to make it easier for families to know where to turn when they have a question or concern.

Families are encouraged to begin with the teacher, school staff member, administrator or district department closest to the situation. The people most familiar with the matter are often best able to listen, respond and work with the family toward a resolution.

If additional assistance is needed, families can complete the Family Support Request Form. Someone from the district office will typically follow up within one to two business days to connect the family with the appropriate school or department and help work toward a resolution.

CCS Observing Labor Day

In observance of Labor Day, all Cumberland County schools and buildings will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.
