Now Accepting Applications: CCS Family Ambassador Program
The district is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 Family Ambassador Program! This initiative strengthens school-family partnerships and supports student success through community outreach. Ambassadors will share district updates, connect families to resources and support engagement efforts in their school communities. Participants receive training, monthly toolkits, a CCS email account and can earn up to $100 per month by completing outreach tasks. Applicants must pass a background check, attend monthly meetings and join a summer orientation. Visit the CCS website to learn more and to apply.

Year-Round Students Return to Class July 16
Students at our year-round schools—E.E. Miller Elementary, Anne Chesnutt Middle, and Reid Ross Classical Middle and High—will return to class on Thursday, July 16. Our dedicated faculty and staff are excited to welcome them back for what promises to be an amazing school year! As the school year kicks off, we remind all drivers to slow down in school zones and always stop for school buses with extended stop arms. Let’s work together to keep our students safe. And, for everything you need to get ready—from bell schedules to transportation info—be sure to visit CCS' Online Back-To-School Guide on our website.
