PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Cumberland County Board of Education will hold a special meeting pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-318.12 and N.C.G.S. 115C-72 for the sole purpose of conducting a public hearing regarding the proposed closure of Manchester Elementary School, starting at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026.
The meeting will be open to the public via live-streaming available at https://www.youtube.com/user/CumberlandCoSch, and there will also be capacity-limited seating available to members of the public.
During the public hearing on Monday, April 27, 2026, citizens may share their public comments in person only regarding the proposed closure of Manchester Elementary School. Each comment is limited to 3 minutes per speaker. Individuals requesting to share public comments during the public comment period may sign up using the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/ZGa8Q33DJMo3D9tH3, which will be accessible starting at Noon on Monday, April 27, 2026, and remain open until 5:30 p.m. Citizens may be allowed to walk up and sign up for public comment no later than 6:00 p.m. The Board reserves the right to place reasonable restrictions upon the speakers' time and conduct.
