Extra Mile Recipient Brandon Harvey
The Extra Mile Award recognizes employees who consistently exceed expectations and inspire excellence. March’s recipient, Brandon Harvey, received nine nominations highlighting his unwavering dedication to ensuring students have the equipment and resources they need to succeed.
Nominators described Harvey as someone who always goes 'above and beyond' to meet the needs of students, often rearranging his schedule and responding in the best response time possible, sometimes with only minutes' notice.
Although transporting adaptive and durable medical equipment for students who receive Exceptional Children (EC) services is not always included in his assigned responsibilities, Harvey consistently steps in to help. He also completes donation pickups from businesses and homes, ensuring vital resources reach students who need them.
Colleagues spoke highly of the honoree's dedication. "He never complains and is always so positive and willing to help,” said staff members. "He's a valuable member of our team, whose character and drive for excellence are unmatched.” Harvey's nominees described him as someone who is diligent and efficient and who does 'all things' with excellence and truly cares about the next generation.
His work ensures students can engage with teachers and peers in the safest and most supportive way possible.
