Cumberland County Schools will be closed for all students and employees on Monday, March 16, 2026, due to predicted severe weather conditions.
Weather forecasts indicate the potential for severe storms, including strong wind gusts and possible tornadoes. Out of an abundance of caution, the district made this decision to help ensure the safety of students, employees and families.
All after-school activities, including athletic practices and events scheduled for Monday, are canceled. Prime Time will also be closed.
Students enrolled in college courses at Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville Technical Community College or through College Connections should follow guidance from their school principal.
CCS will continue to prioritize the safety of students, staff and families. Any additional updates will be shared with families through the ParentLink mass notification system, as well as on the district’s website and social media channels. Employees should check with their supervisor and read their CCS email for additional guidance
