Cumberland County Schools -

As a precautionary measure due to the potential for overnight inclement weather, and after assessing school facilities and county roads, Cumberland County Schools (CCS) will operate on a two-hour delay for students and school-based staff on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026.

Schools will begin two hours later than their normal start time, and buses will also run on a two-hour delay schedule. Twelve-month employees at schools and Central Services personnel should report to work at their regular time. Employees with questions should contact their direct supervisor for guidance.

Morning Prime Time will not be available, and breakfast will not be served. Afternoon Prime Time will operate on a normal schedule.

District officials will continue to monitor weather conditions, including the potential for additional inclement weather, while prioritizing the safety of students, staff and families. As always, any changes to the schedule will be communicated through the ParentLink mass notification system and posted on the district’s website and social media channels.
