Time for Pre-K Registration!
Is your little one ready for an exciting start to their education? Cumberland County Schools’ Pre-K program is accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year! Priority will be given to applications submitted by March 31, so don’t wait! To qualify, children must be 4 years old by August 31, 2026, and reside in Cumberland County. Strategic Plan Focus Group Sessions
Cumberland County Schools (CCS) invites families to its final two focus group sessions as the district develops its 2026–2031 strategic plan. These sessions will give caregivers a chance to share ideas and help shape the future of our schools. The one-hour evening focus groups will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, at South View High School and Thursday, February 5, at Cape Fear High School. Choice Program Decisions Coming February 2
Did you apply for your child to attend one of CCS’ Choice Programs for the 2026–27 school year? Choice application decisions will be emailed to families on Monday, February 2. Families will need to follow the instructions in the email to accept their child’s seat by the deadline provided.

February's Be Strong Families Parent Cafe
Families are invited to join our monthly Be Strong Families Parent Cafés where parents and caregivers of all ages can connect, share experiences and talk about what matters most. These guided small-group conversations offer support, reflection and real-life learning from one another. The next Parent Café is Friday, February 6, from 9 until 11 a.m. at the Pre-K Center, located at 1307 Hillsboro Street. Space is limited so call 910-483-7370 to reserve your seat.
