Cumberland County Schools (CCS) is inviting families to participate in upcoming focus group sessions as the district begins developing its 2026-2031 Strategic Plan.
The family focus groups are designed to give caregivers an opportunity to share their experiences, concerns and ideas about the future of Cumberland County Schools. Family input will help inform priorities related to teaching and learning, school culture and how the district partners with families to support student success.
The one-hour evening focus group sessions will be held at high schools across the district from 6-7 p.m. on the following dates:
Jan. 13, 2026 – Douglas Byrd High School
Jan. 15, 2026 – Seventy-First High School
Jan. 21, 2026 – E.E. Smith High School
Feb. 4, 2026 – South View High School
Feb. 5, 2026 – Cape Fear High School
Families interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance at: https://bit.ly/CCS_Family_Registration
Feedback gathered during the focus group sessions will help guide long-term planning efforts and ensure family perspectives are reflected as Cumberland County Schools plans for the future.
