Cumberland County Schools (CCS) Superintendent Dr. Eric C. Bracy has announced the transfer of Anita McLaughlin to serve as principal of Sherwood Park Elementary School.

McLaughlin most recently served as principal of Mac Williams Middle School.

This personnel action is being made under the superintendent’s transfer authority and does not require approval by the Cumberland County Board of Education.

McLaughlin has more than 20 years of experience in public education, serving as a teacher, exceptional children’s specialist and school administrator within Cumberland County Schools.

She holds a master’s degree in administration and supervision/curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in history from Fayetteville State University.
