School Psychologist of the Year

Last week, CCS proudly honored Seventy-First High School School Psychologist Mine Hearp as the 2025–26 School Psychologist of the Year during the district’s annual recognition reception. With 26 years in education and 18 years as a school psychologist, Hearp’s expertise in behavior intervention, social-emotional learning and whole child advocacy has had a lasting impact across CCS. Her dedication to helping students reach their full potential reflects the true spirit of National School Psychology Week (NSPW), empowering others to “find their path” toward success and well-being.

During the week of November 3–7, CCS joined school districts nationwide in celebrating NSPW. Sponsored by the National Association of School Psychologists, this annual observance recognizes the vital role school psychologists play in supporting students’ academic, social and emotional well-being. This year’s theme, “Finding Your Path,” encourages students, families and educators to set meaningful goals and celebrate the professionals who help them thrive in school, at home and in life.
