2025 Faith Breakfast

Nearly 100 faith leaders joined Cumberland County Schools (CCS) officials this morning for an energizing breakfast conversation focused on one goal—helping students thrive during the 2025-26 school year.

The group of pastors and ministry representatives filled the Central Services Board Room with excitement as they exchanged bold ideas for supporting schools and strengthening student outcomes. The event focused on "the power of collaboration when the community comes together on behalf of children."

The breakfast began with an uplifting invocation from Pastor Sharon Thompson-Journigan. CCS Associate Superintendent of Communications and Community Engagement Dr. Lindsay Whitley welcomed attendees and energized the room with a clear vision for partnership. A lively panel discussion, titled Partners in Purpose, featured voices from both the faith community and CCS leaders that brought a clear view of the importance of working side by side.

Superintendent Dr. Eric C. Bracy closed the event with an inspiring Call to Action, reminding everyone that it takes a united community to ensure every student’s success.

“Today was a powerful reminder that we are not in this work alone,” said Dr. Bracy. “When schools and faith leaders stand together, we create stronger communities and open doors for every student to succeed.”
