Day 3 of Graduations

Cumberland County Schools (CCS) is proud to announce that more than 1,600 high school seniors received their high school diplomas during five graduation ceremonies yesterday at the Cumberland County Crown Coliseum.

Graduates from the Class of 2025 at Westover, Seventy-First, Terry Sanford, South View and Jack Britt high schools are ready to take on the world. Collectively, these graduates earned more than $11.3 million in scholarships, completed 144 college credit hours, secured dozens of athletic commitments and received numerous academic distinctions, certifications and career-ready credentials.

From ACT WorkKeys certifications and FTCC course completions to college acceptances, military enlistments and trade school plans, these graduates are heading in many directions—with purpose. Among them are students earning full scholarships to prestigious universities like Duke and MIT, receiving appointments to service academies like West Point and preparing to attend top institutions such as UNC-Chapel Hill. Whether earning Summa Cum Laude cords, preparing for careers in nursing and engineering, or competing at the next level in athletics, the Class of 2025 reflects the talent, drive and resilience nurtured across our CCS community.

These accomplishments reflect not only the students’ determination but also the unwavering support of families, educators and mentors who helped guide their journey.
