Bio:

Hello! I am a busy mom of 4 and the spouse of an active-duty service member. We've been married for 21 years and have lived all over. We enjoy traveling as a family, hiking, and getting to the beach whenever possible. I'm a proud Penn State alum (Go Nittany Lions!) and love to watch college football every fall.

What inspired you to become a Family Ambassador?

We have 4 daughters, all enrolled in schools here in Cumberland County. I want to be part of their school system, support the amazing kids and families in Cumberland County, and help proactively connect people with resources. Ultimately, I enjoy working with my community, and being a Family Ambassador is the perfect role for me in this season of life.

What are you most excited about in this role?

I am most excited about connecting with the families at Long Hill Elementary School. It's a great school, and I am thrilled to be part of the Family Ambassador program. I am excited to volunteer and support the amazing staff, administration, and families at Long Hill this year!

Fun Facts - Share a fun or surprising fact about yourself

I have circumnavigated the globe on a ship! In college, I studied abroad on the Semester at Sea program and it was the best experience. I heard Fidel Castro speak, met Nelson Mandela, and explored the Cu Chi tunnels in Vietnam.

What's one thing you love about being involved with your school community?

I love getting to know the people who want the best for the kids at Long Hill Elementary School. Faculty, staff, and families, we share a common goal: to give our children the best education possible. Every time you walk into LHES, it's clear it's a warm, welcoming place to be. People care, and I am excited to be a part of that!
