I was born and raised in Washington, DC, and I’m definitely a jack of all trades. I’ve explored different career paths and enjoy learning new skills and trying new things. I’m a hardworking, creative, and determined person who loves being around my family and finding ways to grow personally and professionally. I’m always up for a new challenge and believe there’s always something new to learn!
What inspired you to become a Family Ambassador?
What inspired me to become a Family Ambassador is my passion for helping others and being someone families can relate to and feel comfortable coming to. As a mother myself, I understand that families sometimes need support, encouragement and someone who will truly listen. I want to use my experiences and my positive attitude to connect families with helpful resources, share information and be a voice of support in the community. I believe that sometimes having someone who understands where you’re coming from can make all the difference.
What are you most excited about in this role?
I’m most excited about the opportunity to connect with families, build meaningful relationships and make a positive difference in my community. I’m excited to learn from other families, share resources and experiences and help people feel supported and heard. I also look forward to growing personally and professionally while using my own experiences to encourage and empower others.
Fun Facts - Share a fun or surprising fact about yourself
I’ve always had a creative and entrepreneurial side. I started my own shea butter business in 2014 and I’m the type of person who will randomly pick up a new hobby just because I want to learn how to do it.
What's one thing you love about being involved with your school community?
One thing I love about being involved with my school community is the opportunity to connect with different people and make a positive impact. I enjoy being able to support families, share ideas and help create a welcoming environment where everyone feels included and heard.
