Bio:
I am a proud mother of two and a longtime foster parent. After retiring from a career in healthcare, I found a new chapter working in education as a substitute teacher. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, staying active, trying new recipes, and spending quality time with the people I love. I also enjoy new experiences and believe you’re never too old to learn something new or start a new adventure.

What inspired you to become a Family Ambassador?

Through my experiences working with children and families, I’ve learned that sometimes all it takes is having the right person to listen, guide you, or point you in the right direction. I was drawn to the Family Ambassador role because it gives me an opportunity to help bridge the gap between families and the school—making sure parents feel heard, informed and comfortable being involved in their child’s education.

What are you most excited about in this role?

I’m most excited about making meaningful connections, bringing fresh ideas to the table and finding creative ways to make a positive impact within the school community.

I’m an only child—which seems to surprise almost everyone when they find out!

What's one thing you love about being involved with your school community?

I love building a rapport with students and seeing their faces light up when they see me at the various schools I visit. When a student I’ve connected with runs up to say hello or asks when I’m coming back, it warms my heart and reminds me that even the smallest interactions can make a lasting impact.
