Bio:
I was born and raised in Hampton, VA. I have over 16 years as a Preschool/Kindergarten teacher in the private School sector. My husband and I are raising our granddaughter, who is 10 and currently attending a CCS Public School. I am a strong advocate for children getting the resources and learning they need to be successful. I truly believe that family involvement is a key component to a child's educational development.

What inspired you to become a Family Ambassador?

My genuine love for children. I was raised and given so much by my village while growing up. I want to help other families realize the importance of being involved in their child's learning experience and the real difference it can make.

What are you most excited about in this role?

Working along the principal and helping to develop activities and programs to help parents become more involved.

I love Bubble Gum!!

What's one thing you love about being involved with your school community?

It allows me to meet parents where they are. I can share information that they may not otherwise know as it pertains to different activities and services available to there child.
