Bio:
My name is Lucy Wilkerson. I am 40 years old. I am originally from Kansas City, Missouri. I am married with two children. I completed 21 years of Active Duty service in the US Army. I recently retired and decided to spend my down time assisting the schools in my area. I am also a substitute teacher. I am a part of the PTA for my children's schools. During my down time, I enjoy doing DIY projects around the house.

What inspired you to become a Family Ambassador?

The thought of bringing the community, family and schools together is what inspired me. I believe that there is a gap in communication between the three and if there is anything that I can do to help bridge that gap, I'd like to do as much as I can to make that happen.

What are you most excited about in this role?

Being able to work alongside other people with the same goals.

What's one thing you love about being involved with your school community?

I love being able to get others involved.
