Bio:
Greetings everyone, I am Larensa Leak. I am a wife, proud mom of two, veteran and a fourth-year social work scholar. As a child of God, I am passionate about serving others, supporting families and building strong community connections. I am also involved with Girls Talk and enjoy encouraging youth and families to thrive.

What inspired you to become a Family Ambassador?

I saw a need and wanted to be part of the solution. I wanted to help families feel supported, connected and heard while contributing to a stronger school community.

What are you most excited about in this role?

I am most excited about this role because, as a member of the community, I get to be part of the change I want to see. I especially enjoy working with youth and helping them feel supported, encouraged and empowered to succeed.

Fun Facts - Share a fun or surprising fact about yourself

A fun fact about me is that you will never get bored around me! I am always finding new ways to learn, grow and stay involved. I recently completed my first research project and had the opportunity to present my research in Georgia.

What's one thing you love about being involved with your school community?

One thing I love about being involved is watching the seeds I plant grow. Whether it's supporting youth, encouraging families, or serving, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing people thrive and reach their full potential.
