Bio:
I am a proud mom to an energetic boy who keeps me inspired every day. I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Social Work at Fayetteville State University and plan to continue working in the school system as a school social worker. I am originally from New Jersey and also an Air Force veteran. I serve as a substitute teacher, tutor, and volunteer with community-based programs that support families in need. In my free time, I enjoy reading, serving on the AVL team at church, and finding new ways to help others.

What inspired you to become a Family Ambassador?

I was inspired by my own experiences as both a parent and a student. I know how important it is to have strong connections between families, schools, and the community. I want to use my passion for advocacy and service to help families feel supported, informed, and empowered as partners in their child’s education.

What are you most excited about in this role?

I’m most excited about building meaningful relationships with other families, listening to their needs, and being a voice to bridge communication between home and school. I look forward to sharing resources and creating a welcoming environment where every family feels seen and valued.

Fun Facts - Share a fun or surprising fact about yourself

A fun fact about me is that I can play the clarinet, I was part of my high school marching band as a color guard member, and I was also a gymnast in high school.

What's one thing you love about being involved with your school community?

I love the sense of belonging and teamwork. Being involved allows me to not only support my own child but also contribute to the success of other students and families. It gives me joy to know that I can make a positive difference in the school community.
