Bio:
I have been a substitute educator for the past four years and am proud to be a parent in the Cumberland County Schools community. I’m a mother of two sons, including a son with special needs, which has given me a personal understanding of the importance of communication, advocacy, support and strong partnerships between families and schools.

I have proudly called Fayetteville, NC home for more than 20 years, and I truly value being part of this community. Growing up, I was a cheerleader, and I’ve always enjoyed music and dancing. I believe in bringing positive energy, encouragement, and a welcoming spirit wherever I go!

What inspired you to become a Family Ambassador?

I was inspired to become a Family Ambassador through my own experience navigating the school system with a child with special needs. At times, the process felt challenging and confusing, and I learned how valuable it can be to have someone who can provide guidance, connect families with the right people, and share information about helpful community resources and events.

Those experiences have inspired me to become that helping hand for other families. I want families to know that they do not have to navigate the school system alone. As a Family Ambassador, I hope to help families feel informed, supported, empowered and connected to the resources available to them and their children.

👩‍👦‍👦 I’m a proud mother of two boys and love being a mom!

🍕 I have a unique pizza preference: I enjoy eating just the toppings off of pizza! 😂

💃 I love music and dancing and enjoy bringing positive energy wherever I go.

🌎 I’m proud of my Latin heritage and love celebrating my culture and background.

📣 I was a cheerleader, so encouraging and supporting others has always been a big part of who I am!

What's one thing you love about being involved with your school community?

One thing I love about being involved in the community is the opportunity to connect with people and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I enjoy meeting new people, learning from their experiences and being able to offer support, encouragement, or a helping hand when someone needs it. There is something special about bringing people together and knowing that even a small act of kindness or connection can make a positive impact.
