Family Ambassador: Cumberland Academy 6-12

Meet Cumberland Academy 6-12's Family Ambassador!
Bio:
I was a CNA 3 for about 20 years and had to resign when I became disabled. I have three boys two of which are on the spectrum. I enjoy baking and spending time with my children and my fur babies.
What inspired you to become a Family Ambassador?
I became a family ambassador because I really wanted to help families be able to be more involved with their children's academic life. I understand the challenges that come with trying to coordinate with the school and even outside resources to help so I want to be able to help families be able to get in contact with the correct person if they need to when dealing with their specific situation.
What are you most excited about in this role?
I'm excited to get to know the families and help them achieve what they need so that we can make sure that their students succeed.
Fun Facts - Share a fun or surprising fact about yourself
When I was in my late teens early twenties I used to breed pythons for science centers and nature science classes and zoos.
What's one thing you love about being involved with your school community?
I love being able to collaborate with school staff and administration to come up with solutions and helpful and handy tips that we can pass on to parents, caregivers and guardians.
