CCS' Student Code of Conduct

We are excited to share that the Cumberland County Schools Student Code of Conduct, "A Blueprint for Student Character, Wellness and Support," will be reintroduced for the 2024-2025 school year. It is designed to help our students succeed by providing clear behavioral expectations and valuable resources for support.

  • The Code of Conduct includes a comprehensive resource directory with contacts for mental health support, including the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and the Alongside Student Mental Health App.

  • Our Code emphasizes positive behavioral interventions and supports, promoting social-emotional learning to help students thrive.

  • CCS is committed to trauma-sensitive schools and restorative practices to create an ​​exceptional school environment​ where students and staff are responsible and respectful.

  • The Code outlines clear expectations and responsibilities for students, families, teachers and principals to foster a positive school climate.

  • The guide includes recommendations for seeking support for academic, behavioral and mental health issues, ensuring every student has access to the help they need.
