FREE BREAKFAST for ALL STUDENTS
Families, give your child a great start to the school day! Make school breakfast part of their morning routine and encourage them to eat breakfast at school every day. It’s nutritious and FREE for ALL students!Fuel their mind and nourish their future!

Partnering with Your Child's Teacher|October 7 at 7:30 p.m.
Strong family-teacher communication can make a big difference in your child’s success! Join this virtual Family Engagement On Demand session to learn practical ways to communicate effectively with your child’s teacher, ask helpful questions, address concerns, and build a positive partnership that supports learning throughout the school year. REMINDERS:
Consolidated College Fair
Cumberland County Schools and the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO) have partnered to offer the Consolidated College Fair on October 6 in the Horace Sisk Gymnasium on the campus of FTCC from 5:30 until 7:00 pm for all high school students and their parents or guardians. Admissions officers from more than 60 colleges and universities will be in attendance. Students should pre-register for the event through strivefair.com to be able to receive information directly from admissions officers during and after the event.

Important School Bus Safety Reminder
CCS reminds families that only authorized school personnel and students are permitted to board our school buses. Unauthorized individuals may face criminal charges for trespassing or impeding the operation of a school bus. If you have a concern involving your child, please do not board the bus; instead, contact your child’s school administrator so the matter can be addressed safely and appropriately. Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff safe!

2027 Military Child of the Year® Nominations Now Open
Operation Homefront is accepting nominations for the 2027 Military Child of the Year® Awards, recognizing outstanding military-connected youth ages 13–18. Anyone—including students, siblings, friends, teachers, family and community members—may submit a nomination. Seven recipients, representing each branch of military service, will receive $10,000, a laptop, additional gifts and a three-day family trip to Washington, D.C. The free program is open to children of active-duty, Reserve, National Guard, Gold Star and retired military members. Nominations are open through December 1.
