Important Back-to-School Information for 2026-2027

The first day of school is almost here, and we are excited to welcome our Pony families for another wonderful school year. Please review the important information below regarding Open House, kindergarten staggered entry and school supplies.

First Grade Open House

  • Date: Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026

  • Time: 3-5 p.m.

  • Families will have the opportunity to:

    • Meet their child's teacher.

    • Visit classrooms.

    • Learn about classroom expectations and routines.

    • Ask questions before the first day of school.

Pre-K Open House

  • Date: Friday, Aug. 28, 2026

  • Time: 9:30 a.m.

Kindergarten Open House

  • Date: Friday, Aug. 28, 2026

  • Families may attend one of the following sessions:

  • 8:30 a.m.

  • 10:30 a.m.

Kindergarten Staggered Entry

To help our newest students transition successfully into school, kindergarten will follow a staggered entry schedule during the first week.

Students will attend school on only one assigned day based on the first letter of their last name:

  • Last names A-F: Monday, Aug. 24

  • Last names G-N: Tuesday, Aug. 25

  • Last names O-Z: Wednesday, Aug. 26

Please note:

  • Students must be enrolled at Stedman Primary to participate.

  • Beginning Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, all kindergarten students will attend school every day following their regular classroom schedule.

Kindergarten Supply List

  • At this time, no required classroom supplies have been requested for kindergarten students.

Kindergarten Wish List

  • Lysol or Clorox cleaning wipes

  • Kleenex tissues

  • Small pump hand sanitizer

  • Quart-size zip-top bags

  • Gallon-size zip-top bags

  • Paper towels

  • 1 pair of headphones (no earbuds or Bluetooth headphones)

  • 1 pack of fine-tip dry-erase markers

First Grade Supply List

  • 1 pair of headphones (no earbuds or Bluetooth headphones)

  • 1 primary story journal

  • 2 packs of twistable crayons

  • 1 pack of glue sticks

  • 1 pack of pink block erasers

  • 1 pack of Ticonderoga pencils

  • 1 standard-size pencil box

First Grade Wish List

  • Baby wipes

  • Lysol or Clorox cleaning wipes

  • Kleenex tissues

  • Gallon-size zip-top bags

  • Quart-size zip-top bags

  • 1 pack of fine-tip dry-erase markers

Important Reminder: Headphones are not supplied by the school. If your child's headphones become damaged during the school year, families will be asked to provide a replacement.
