At Stedman Primary, we are incredibly proud of our military-connected students and the strength they show every day. To honor their sacrifices and celebrate them, we are joining schools across the country for "Purple Up! For Military Kids" Day.
We encourage all students, staff, and families to wear purple on Friday, April 17, 2026.
Why purple? Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is a combination of Army green, Marine Corps red, and Coast Guard, Air Force, and Navy blue. By wearing purple, we show our military children that they have a huge community here at Stedman that loves and supports them!
Whether it’s a purple shirt, socks, or a hair ribbon, let’s come together to make our hallways a sea of purple.
