Open House:
Our 2026-27 Open House will be held on August 20, 2026 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. This Open House is only for Pre-K and 1st-5th grades. Please note that Kindergarten Open House will be held on August 28, 2026. Call the school office for more information at 910-424-0145. Our Baldwin Medication Clerk will be available during Open House to receive medication for students with the required documentation.
Kindergarten Staggered Entry, Open House:
Welcome to our newest Baldwin Bears! We are pleased to have your child in our educational care this year. Kindergarten is a year of growing socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Your involvement, interest, and enthusiasm will help make this a wonderful year of growth for you and your child.
All Kindergarten students will participate in staggered entry. This year’s staggered entry will be a four day procedure where each student will come to school on the day designated by last name only. The information below shows your child’s assigned day for their first day of Kindergarten.
Monday, August 24, 2026: Students with last name A-F
Tuesday, August 25, 2026: Students with last name G-L
Wednesday, August 26, 2026: Students with last name M-S
Thursday, August 27, 2026: Students with last name T-Z
Please note that Kindergarten students will only attend one day of school on opening week. These days will be a full day for your child. Our doors open at 7:00am for students to unpack and receive their breakfast, and initial entry assessments/instruction/observations will begin promptly at 7:30am. Our dismissal time is 2:10pm. Please make sure to let your child’s teacher know how they will get home during the opening week of school, as safety is our top priority.
Parents/families will be notified of teacher assignments via phone call and/or email prior to Open House. Our Kindergarten Open House is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. You will be introduced to your child’s teacher and assistant at this time. We will be available to answer any questions or concerns that you may have as well. The expectation of this visit is for families to have an opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and receive any pertinent information regarding the upcoming school year. On Friday, August 28, 2026 Kindergarten students will not come to school. We welcome you to attend this very important and informative event.
