'Need to Know' Updates for the Week of October 17, 2021

The next Cumberland Family Academy session is titled "Beyond the Labels: Understanding The Struggling Learner." It takes place on Thursday, October 21 at 6 p.m. During this interactive session, participants will be given insight into how to ensure struggling learners' needs are met in the classroom and at home. It is FAFSA season, which is that time of year to get free money for college! Suppose you have questions about the FASFA process. In that case, a FASFA Drive-In event will take place on Saturday, October 23, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Fayetteville Technical Community College at the Tony Rand Student Center. Attendees will be able to receive one-on-one help from the safety of their vehicles.   

Two brief reminders:

Cumberland County Schools will be announcing its 2022 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year winners during a special virtual celebration on Monday, October 18, at 6:00 p.m. The Pre-Show starts at 5:45 p.m. The event will be streaming LIVE on the district's YouTube channel

In honor of all 88 CCS Principals, the district asks everyone to wear dark blue, chartreuse, or CCS Red Friday, October 22, on Wear CCS Colors Day.
