Parents and Guests

 

Before the event
● Symptomatic guests should avoid the event. 
● All attendees are encouraged to have the COVID-19 vaccination before attending the graduation ceremony.
● Vulnerable guests are encouraged to watch the ceremony virtually.
● Please maintain 6 feet distancing between your family and others while you are in line to enter the venue.
● All attendees will be COVID screened and pass through a metal detector before entering the venue.
● All attendees age five or older must wear a mask. 
● CCS staff will have disposable masks available for guests who forget to bring their own.
● Each guest (including babies) must have a ticket.
● There will be no admittance to seats during the Processional and National Anthem.
● Guests are allowed to bring in cameras/video for pictures and video, but no cases.
● NO umbrellas, balloons, stuffed toys, flowers, wrapped or unwrapped gifts, food or drink will be permitted (or other restricted items) inside the facility.
● Only clear bags are allowed inside the venue. If you have questions see the link below.
● Graduation from high school is a milestone in the life of a student and his or her family. The dignity of the occasion can best be observed by refraining from whistling, yelling, or applauding for any one student. This will allow families to hear the name of their graduate. Your congratulations can be shown by applause for the total group after the turning of the tassel.
● We also ask your cooperation in taking pictures. No one should leave their seat to take a picture or video.

 

During the Event
● Adhere to displayed signage and follow the 3 W’s. 
● Maintain 6 feet distancing from those not in your group throughout the venue. 
● No concessions or gift items will be sold inside the venue.
● Adhere to your assigned seating listed on your tickets. Guests should not leave their seats except to use restrooms or to exit the venue. 
● All attendees age five or older must maintain their face covering at all times while inside the venue.

 

After the Event
● All guests must remain seated in their designated seats until dismissed. In order to maintain social distancing we will utilize a staggered dismissal system by sections.
● After exiting the venue, parents and guests will return immediately to their vehicles to prevent crowding. Pictures should be taken off site.

 

INFORMATION TO SHARE WITH SENIORS
Graduation Dress Code - Because we are still in a pandemic and many of our families are still struggling financially, our typical dress codes will be suspended. We recommend that you dress business casual, if possible but that at a minimum whatever can be seen outside of their gown should be appropriate for a graduation.  Flat shoes are recommended as opposed to heels. Caps and Gowns are to be carried (not worn) when entering the building
-All graduates will screened by metal detectors before entering the building
-All graduates will be COVID screened before entering the building 
-All graduates will be required to wear a mask the whole time they are in the building
-Date and Time of Graduation - graduates should arrive 1 hour prior to start of ceremony (this is the same time doors will open for guests)
-Any senior that causes a disruption during the processional, ceremony, or recessional will be escorted from the ceremony.
-Each graduate will get FOUR(4) ASSIGNED CROWN TICKET SEATS – When the student is given these four tickets they will need to present the names and phone numbers of the four people receiving these tickets in case contact tracing is needed.

Crown Complex Venue Policies

● All guests will be screened by the metal detectors before entering the venue. 
● All guests will be COVID screened before entering the venue.
● At the end of the graduation ceremony the guests will be asked to remain seated and will be released by sections.
● All guests will be required to wear a mask the entire time they are in the building.
● Guests are allowed to bring in cameras/video cameras for pictures and video, but no cases.
● Guests who choose to cause a disruption during the processional, ceremony, or recessional will be escorted from the ceremony.
● Schools may withhold diplomas for a period of time as determined by the Superintendent for misconduct during the graduation ceremony.
● Graduation from high school is a milestone in the life of a student and his or her family.
