The safety, health, and well-being of our students, staff, families, and community is a top priority in Cumberland County Schools. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services' StrongSchools NC Toolkit requires public schools to conduct a COVID-19 symptom screening and temperature check of any person entering a school building.
As the district transitions to Plan B in March, we will be asking each student to complete the CCS Symptoms Screener survey each day in the student's email before boarding a bus or reporting to school. Families may also access the survey on the CCS Website beginning Thursday, February 25. The purpose of the Screener survey is to determine if your child is currently experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 or has recently been exposed or diagnosed with COVID-19. All information provided is kept confidential. Based on the survey results, the child will be approved to go to school or be asked to stay home. Families are encouraged to begin completing the survey each day to prepare for a smooth return under Plan B.
Please remember to screenshot the "approved" message on your phone/device to show to school staff each morning as this will aid in a smooth entry each day.
