Cumberland Family Academy (CFA) is hosting virtual workshops on a variety of topics that include Developing a College and Career Plan, Motivating the Unmotivated Child and much more.
The sessions will take place virtually at 6 p.m. on Thursdays. Families can register for each session, where they will be able to participate and ask questions. Additionally, there will be an encore of each session on the district’s Facebook page and YouTube channel on the following Tuesday.
“We are excited to kick off another year of quality programming for our families,” said Lindsay Whitley, the associate superintendent for Communications and Community Engagement. “Amazing things happen when families and educators join together to support students. These workshops will provide families with helpful resources to support student success.”
Cumberland Family Academy is part of Priority Four of the CCS Strategic Plan, which calls for the development of a district-wide family engagement outreach program. Cumberland Family Academy launched virtually in September 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since its inception, the Academy has earned a National School Public Relations Award.
