Day to Day Parent Information

School Year 2021-2022

Day to Day Parent Information

School Day Schedule:

  1. Students can be on campus at 7:00 a.m.  There is limited supervision for students on campus prior to 7:00 a.m. which is a safety concern.
  2. Our school day ends at 2:10 p.m.  We ask parents NOT to check students out early as the student will miss valuable instructional time.
  3. The last 30 minutes of the school day are busy as teachers and students recap the learning of the day and prepare for dismissal.  Classes are moving to the dismissal areas and therefore, we do not allow checkouts between 1:40 and 2:10.
  4. Every minute counts at school.  Please make sure your student is present, on time and stays the entire school day.  A student who averages missing two days a month will have missed a full month of school by the end of the school year.

Bus Transportation to and from school:

  1. Students can only ride the school bus assigned to their bus stop.
  2. Parents should let the teacher know how the student will get to and go home from school.  Any changes to the normal method that a student will go home must be in the form of a written note or a Class DoJo message sent to the teacher.  Phone calls to change how a student go home will not be accepted.
  3. Kindergarten students must have a person or adult designee at the bus stop to receive the student.  If there is not an adult at the bus stop, the student will be brought back to the school and the parent/Guardian will have to come to the school to pick up the student.

Parent Drop Off and Pick up car line:

  1. Please end all cell phone calls when entering the school’s driveway to avoid distractions.
  2. There will be one drop off line in the mornings.
  3. We will use two lines for parent pick up in the afternoons.  This is a very busy time as we have a lot of cars and children in a small area in a condensed time frame. All movement (car and students) is controlled by staff members, please follow all instruction of the staff. Students will be escorted to the car, we ask that parents stay in the car.
  4. All cars should have the Student pickup card displayed on the driver side dashboard. The card should contain the student’s name, the teacher name and grade.  This will help our name callers call students and speed up the dismissal process.

Meals at school:

  1. Our school is a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school which means all of our students can eat breakfast and lunch at no cost.

If your student is going to eat breakfast at school, the student should arrive NLT 7:20 a.m. This will allow the student to have time to finish breakfast and be ready to start the school day at 7:30.
