CCS Reminds Families About School Bus Safety Protocols

Cumberland County Schools' top priority is the safety and well-being of students and staff, whether they are on school grounds or being transported on school buses. The district provides transportation for approximately 26,000 students to and from school each day. In an effort to keep each of them safe, we want to remind parents and the general public that only the appropriate school personnel and students are allowed on our school buses. Individuals who step onto school buses without the proper authorization may be charged criminally for trespassing or impeding the operation of a school bus. When families have concerns, they are strongly encouraged to contact the school's administrator to address and resolve the situation. Again, we wholeheartedly take the safety of our students and staff seriously and solicit the support of our families in this effort.
