Cumberland County Schools Wraps Up 2022 with a “Top 10”
December 20, 2022
Across Cumberland County Schools (CCS), 2022 was a year to bounce back.
Throughout the year, the focus has been on lifting up every student, every school, and every premier professional throughout the district and rising above the negative impacts of COVID-19. The year’s theme, “Together, We Will Rise,” has held true as CCS has reimagined the Cumberland Commitment and moved toward goals set in the district’s strategic plan.
Leading up to the end of the year, CCS is releasing “Top 10 in 2022” video recaps on its social media platforms. These 10 moments show the district’s dedication to making a difference in the lives of students.
“For the last 12 months, educators, staff members, families and community partners have worked together for one purpose: to help students rise above recent challenges,” said Superintendent Dr. Marvin Connelly, Jr. “I’m so proud of the progress we have made. As we look forward to 2023, I know we will continue to prepare our students to be lifelong learners and reach their maximum potential.”
The first “Top 10” moment releases tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 21 and highlights when CCS students had the chance to launch experiments to the International Space Station.
