Local High School Partners with the Trades

Recently, students enrolled in Seventy-First High School’s Cabinet Making class traveled to Brock’s Cabinets and put their skills to the test. The students participated in four hands-on activity stations, including glass cutting, cabinet assembly, countertop production and hardware installation. The activity stations were followed by a tour of the warehouses and office buildings to learn more about the careers involved in the production and assembly of cabinets. While enjoying lunch provided by the Fayetteville Home Builders Association, the students heard from owner Edward Brock. Special thanks to Julie Russo and Natalie Fryer of the Home Builders Association, who were instrumental in making this event a reality. It was a fantastic experience, and we are very thankful to have such committed community partners.
