'Need to Know' Updates for the Week of December 6, 2021

The Military Family Advisory Council is a new initiative to support military families in Cumberland County Schools. To kick off the initiative, the district is gathering some initial feedback from our military-connected parents about their experience in our school system and their transitional experiences as a military family. This parent survey is completely voluntary and will provide valuable insight to enhance the support available to military-connected children throughout the district. To take the survey, click here.

Cumberland County Schools Exceptional Children Services is holding its monthly virtual PAC or Parent Advisory Council Meeting on Monday, December 13 from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Board Room at Central Services, located at 2465 Gillespie Street. The 'make-and- take' presentation will focus on sensory strategies families can use at home during the winter break.

Parents, Retirees, and Committed Community Members, the School Angels Watch Program is looking for volunteers who can spare a few hours a week to be an extra set of eyes and ears on our school campuses. These volunteers will patrol the school grounds, check security measures and watch for suspicious activity. Training is provided and the hours are flexible. For more information, visit the CCS Website
