'Need to Know' Updates for the Week of September 19, 2021
Say Something Anonymous Reporting System
In light of recent social media comments and violence in the community, you are encouraged to use the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System in order to help prevent violence, suicide, bullying, self-harm and other forms of threatening behavior in the Cumberland County Schools. The mobile app, website or 24/7 phone hotline can be used to submit tips for follow-up by school officials and possibly law enforcement. The hotline number is 1.844.572.9669 or you can visit the CCS website to access the reporting system.
Immunization and Health Assessment Requirements
Does your child have the appropriate immunizations and health assessments as required by the state? In accordance with state law, parents and caregivers have 30 calendar days from the first day of attendance to present the required immunization record and health assessment transmittal form for their child. After 30 calendar days, students will not be allowed to attend school until the required immunizations and health assessment transmittal form have been presented. Immunizations can be administered by scheduling an appointment at the child’s healthcare provider or at the local health department. Visit the CCS website to learn more.
Substitute Teacher Temporary Incentive Plan
Incentive pay is being offered to individuals interested in substitute teaching in Cumberland County Schools. Those who work consistently beginning September 1 through the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year qualify and will be offered incentive pay based on the number of days worked each month.
