'Need to Know' Updates for the Week of May 2, 2021
In the coming weeks, students across the district will be participating in end-of-year testing. Based on state law, it is not possible to have students take their EOG, EOC, and English language proficiency assessments from home. They will take these tests in person, in school with health and safety protocols in place. To support safe settings and to give students access to the tests, the testing window has been extended so fewer students are in a school at the same time. Each school will notify parents and students of their testing dates and other pertinent information.
The next Cumberland Family Academy session titled "Prepping for College: Admissions, Scholarships and More!" takes place on Thursday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m. This session will give the families of 10th and 11th-graders the opportunity to speak with admissions officers, explore local college programming opportunities, and get information about college scholarships. Click here to register and to view the CFA Spring Schedule. An encore presentation of each session is posted on the district’s Facebook page and YouTube channel the following Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
