JGMS Women's History Wax Museum

John Griffin Middle School hosted a Women’s History Wax Museum on March 27, 2024 consisting of 13 young female scholars 6th - 8th grade. Under the direction of school social worker ShaNya Bandy, these students had the opportunity to pick a woman of their choice from history and tell about them while portraying them as a live statue. Some of the women were Ruby Bridges, Michelle Obama, Anne Frank, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, etc. Women’s History month is celebrated in the month of March and is an annual observance to highlight all the contributions of women to their empowerment and movement in history and society.
