Open House

We are quickly approaching the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. It's an exciting time!

Open House is on Thursday, July 14, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Kona Ice is scheduled to be parked at the front of the school as our school's first PTO fundraiser. Cool off and support the PTO with delicious shaved ice.

The first day of school is on Monday, July 18 for all students in grades 1 through 5.

All Kindergarten students will participate in Staggered Entry. Incoming Kindergarten students will attend one day (either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) during the first week of school. On the evening of Thursday, July 21, kindergarten families will be contacted by email or phone and told who their child's homeroom teacher will be for the school year. Kindergarten families will be allowed to sign-up to meet their child's kindergarten teacher on Friday, July 22. All kindergarten students will report on Monday, July 25. Your child's assigned Staggered Entry day will be included in a letter that will be sent home.

Similarly, Pre-K students will have Staggered Entry. Half of the students will be assigned to have their first day on Monday, July 18. The second half will attend on Tuesday, July 19. All Pre-K students will report on Wednesday, July 20. Pre-K teachers will contact families with this information.

NCDPI and PowerSchool are still working through updates. Until these processes are complete, PowerSchool information is not accessible by us at the school level. It's anticipated we will be returned to service by tomorrow and I can prepare teacher assignment letters to go home. Thank you for your patience.

Information regarding teacher assignments will also be available in the hallways on the evening at Open House.
