CCS Students Win at CTSO State Virtual Conferences
The NCHOSA State Leadership Conference was held virtually this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Competitions occurred the week of April 27, 2020 and chapter voting delegates were able to vote for the NCHOSA Executive Council for 2020-2021. The awards/recognition/induction session was held live at 6:00 pm on May 13, 2020.
Cumberland County students from several schools placed on the events noted below:
HOSA
- Behavioral Health- Secondary 7th Place: Amanda Almueti CFHS
- Nutrition – Secondary 10th Place: Jenna Warnock JBHS
- Medical Spelling – Secondary 6th Place: Victoria Jones CPHS
- Medical Assisting – Secondary 6th Place: Davia Rypdahl CFHS
- Physical Therapy – Secondary 5th Place: Emily Gonzales GCHS
- CPR/ First Aid – Secondary 2nd Place: McKenzie Barton CFHS
- CPR/ First Aid – Secondary 3rd Place: Arrendondo Williams TSHS

FBLA
The Future Business Leaders of America (i.e., FBLA) also competed virtually and had several winners as well:
