CTE Teachers Among 2020-2021 National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT)
Cumberland County Schools proudly announced its 2020-2021 newly certified and renewed National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT). Two CTE Teachers were included in the list of educators who successfully worked to complete a rigorous certification process that has developed a long-standing reputation of "empowering teachers and elevating the teaching profession." Our CTE teachers include:
Tara Runion King at Gray's Creek High School, Newly Certified NBC Teacher
Maria Kirlew at Pine Forest Middle School, Renewed NBC Teacher
To become a National Board-certified teacher, candidates must demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills, and practice in their individual certificate area by completing four components. Three portfolio entries assess differentiation in instruction, teaching practice and classroom environment, and the candidate's work as an effective and reflective practitioner. A computer-based assessment further evaluates the candidate's content knowledge.
Let's congratulate these ladies on their awesome accomplishments!
