Special Incentive Positions

Cumberland County Schools (CCS) has immediate openings for licensed teachers in the areas of Elementary, Secondary Mathematics, Science, and Special Education. We are offering signing bonuses to candidates who are selected to join our Talent Acquisition Pool. Bonus Eligibility

  • Must hold an initial or continuing NC professional educator’s license (residency, lateral entry, emergency, and/or permit to teach candidates are not eligible).
  • Cannot be a current CCS school-based employee.
  • Must agree to teach at the assigned PASE school for two years from their effective date of hire. 
  • $5,000 Signing Bonus
  • Teachers in their first and/or second years of teaching or teachers who do not have EVAAS data.
  • $3,000 paid within 60 days of onboarding with the remaining $2,000 paid October 2022. Bonus to be prorated based on the start date and/or hiring percentage. 
  • $7,000 Signing Bonus
  • Teachers with two years of meets expected growth in EVAAS
  • $5,000 paid within 60 days of onboarding with the remaining $2,000 paid October 2022. Bonus to be prorated based on the start date and/or hiring percentage. 
  • $10,000 Signing Bonus
  • Teachers fully licensed in Mathematics with two years of meets expected growth in EVAAS.
  • $8,000 paid within 60 days of onboarding with the remaining $2,000 paid October 2022. Bonus to be prorated based on the start date and/or hiring percentage. 
  • Candidates are applying to a pool and will be assigned to a school to be determined by the PASE hiring committee.
  • Employees will be required to repay the bonus amount if he/she leaves the district prior to the last workday of the 2021-2022 school year.
