CCS RISE! Summer Learning Program
Cumberland County Schools is excited about launching CCS RISE 2021, the district’s summer learning program.
Component 1: Academic Intervention
Students who are invited to the in-person, invitation-only Academic Intervention portion of CCS RISE 2021 have already received additional information in their CCS email account. Students who live in Manchester’s attendance area will go to CCS RISE at W. T. Brown Elementary School.
There is currently a waiting list on the district website for families who may be interested in having their child take part in the Academic Intervention component of CCS RISE 2021.
Component 2: Acceleration for All
The second component of CCS RISE 2021, Acceleration for All, is open to all students and is supported by a calendar of LIVE learning opportunities and does not include an in-person component – all of the learning activities will occur online. I have been recommended for another position with CCS which means June is my last month as principal. It has been nothing short of an honor and a privilege to have been the principal of this wonderful school for almost seven years.
I would like to take this moment to extend a warm welcome to Mrs. Hannah Gray as the new principal of Manchester Elementary School. Mrs. Gray received this appointment with unanimous Personnel Committee approval and full Board support. While I will miss the students, staff, and community so much, I am very excited about Mrs. Gray's appointment and the new opportunities this represents.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the Manchester Family and the town of Spring Lake.
