Good evening, Eagle Families. I am Kailey Hill, principal of Manchester Elementary School, and this is your Manchester Principal’s Minute.
PowerSchool Parent Portal
This is another reminder to our parents and guardians that PowerSchool’s Parent Portal is the best means to view your child’s grades. While we are in Plan C, it is the only way to view the progress reports and report cards. Report card grades for the second reporting period will be finalized and posted this Friday.
The Parent Portal is also the means by which you will need to complete your Federal Impact Aid Survey for your children. The Federal Impact Aid Survey determines how much impact aid funding our district receives. So completing this survey is vitally important. The last day to complete the Federal Impact Aid Survey is this Friday. Just click on the link for forms in the Parent Portal.
If you don’t have access to the Parent Portal, contact your child’s teacher or the school.
For the next couple of weeks, students will take their mid-year assessments. These assessments, also known as benchmarks, are not for a grade, but they directly affect what and how we teach your children. All students will need to complete these assessments without parent assistance. The best thing you can do to help your child is to encourage them to stay focused, but do not provide any other assistance because we need an accurate idea of what your child knows.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Hr. Day
Monday, January 18th, Cumberland County Schools will observe the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. There will be no school for students or staff.
This week all of our school staff will be working remotely. To reach us call the school between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. You can always reach us using Class Tag or email.
This has been your Manchester Principal’s Minute. Have a good evening and a great week.
