  • CUMBERLAND COUNTY GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL SELECTIONS ANNOUNCED

    Congratulations to the 32 Academic nominees who have been selected by the CCS Superintendent’s Governor’s School selection committee and the 29 Performing Arts nominees selected at the school level. These students will compete for state selection to attend the prestigious five and a half-week summer residential program for gifted high school students.

  • Mrs. Rivers, Named 2021 Sandhills Regional Teacher of the Year

    For the second year in a row, Cumberland County Schools’ (CCS) Teacher of the Year has risen to the ranks of Regional Teacher of the Year. On December 4th, Gray's Creek High School and Cumberland County Schools' 2021 Teacher of the Year Nicole Rivers thought she was attending a Friday afternoon meeting, along with her English Department colleagues, to share feedback with district officials regarding End-of-Course (EOC) testing preparation.
