Clyde Locklear serves as the associate superintendent of business operations, overseeing the finance department. Locklear is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. His work experience includes retail consumer finance and business services and finance in K-12 Public Education. With over 30 years of experience in public education, Locklear has worked with a wide array of school business functions including facilities, maintenance, support programs, insurance, and benefits in addition to financial operations including budgeting, payroll, auditing, and accounting.
Locklear is a certified School Business Administrator and a member of the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), and the North Carolina Association of School Business Officials (NCASBO).
He currently serves as the co-chair of the School Business Systems Modernization Committee for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
