  • The South View High School Adobe Academy is for students with an intense interest in careers as graphic designers, graphic illustrators, and video productions as well as website design.

    Adobe Academy Program of Study will place emphasis on students’ creative thinking and hands-on curricula encouraging students to pursue their dreams within the entertainment, media, arts, and technology industries using the various Adobe Creative Cloud Applications to showcase their creative talents.  South View Adobe Academy Students has many benefits to offer our Adobe Academy Students’.

  • Benefits for Students:

    For today's students, it is challenging to stand out from the crowd and be college and career ready. Students pursuing one of the wide ranging careers in digital media and communications require the skills to use Adobe software and create an impressive portfolio of their work. But nothing will set them apart from the other applications more than an industry recognized certification from the Adobe Academy. These certifications tell potential employers and academic institutions that they have the knowledge and ability to be creative, effective, and productive in any environment where digital-media know-how is in demand. 

     

     

    Full Sail UniversityHigh School Partnership Program:


    Students from SOUTH VIEW's Adobe Academy Students’ may be eligible for the Full Sail Gateway Scholarship for High School Seniors up to $15,000, conditional upon the Student starting an on-campus bachelor's program at Full Sail by the end of the calendar year of their graduation from SOUTH VIEW.  The Student must provide a high school transcript or letter of verification that confirms their completion of SOUTH VIEW's Adobe Academy earning a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

     

     

    Creative Cloud for EnterpriseAdobe Enterprise Id Account:

    Each Academy Student will be issued an Adobe Enterprise Id Account that gives our Adobe Academy Students’ free access to more 20 different Adobe Applications if they are enrolled in our Adobe Academy courses. These applications can be installed and used on multi-performs from personal computers to cell phones, to iPads, as web-based applications.

     

     

    Adobe Certified AssociateDigital Badging:

    Adobe Academy Students’ will have the opportunity to earn up to five digital badges during their course of study within our Academy. A badge issued through the Credly platform is a digital representation of a learning outcome, experience, or competency. Based on the Open Badges Standard. Credly badges can be shared and verified online in a way that is easy and secure.  Credly badges link to metadata that provides context and verification. They can be shared across the Internet for maximum visibility and recognition. Then share your successes with others on social media platforms, colleges, and potential employers. 

     

     

    Adobe Professional Visual DesignAdobe Academy (ADAC) Pathway II31 Adobe Visual Design: (Standard and/or Honors Levels)

    This entry level course is a project-based course that develops Information and Communication Technologies careers, and communication skills in print and graphic design using Adobe tools. This course is aligned to Adobe Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC. SkillsUSA competitive events, community service, and leadership activities provide the opportunity to apply essential standards and workplace readiness skills through authentic experiences.

    Certification Exams:

    • Certification exam for Visual Design Using Adobe Photoshop CC
    • Certification exam for Graphic Design & Illustration Using Adobe Illustrator CC

    Adobe Certified Professional

    To earn a new specialty credential, candidates must achieve a passing score on one specific exam, as well as a passing score on one of the other two exams as listed below. 

    • Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design = Photoshop (required) + Illustrator 
      • This certification is valid for a three-year period based on the date Academy Student pass their Certification examination for the version of Adobe Applications used when certifying.
