- professional development opportunities for teachers and assistants to ensure highly qualified personnel
- opportunities for parent involvement and input
- the district improvement plan
- the district parent involvement policy
- the district report card and the school report card

ABCya provides over 400 fun and educational games for all of our students at Sunnyside. The activities are designed by parents and educators, who understand that children learn better if they are having fun. Games are categorized by grade and subject, and cover topics such as multiplication, parts of speech, typing, pattern recognition, and more. There are even games that are just plain fun (and safe) to play! With so much variety, there is sure to be something for kids at all learning levels and styles.

At Cookie, we love designing interactive online games for kids. Our learning games help them build skills needed for success in school. While playing our fun educational games, kids learn to read with phonics, build skills in math, language, social studies, science and much more. With Istation, students’ overall proficiency and mathematical abilities are measured in less than 30 minutes with a computer-adaptive assessment. Next, learners are instantly placed in appropriate game-like instructional experiences, in which they follow an individualized instructional path based on their progress in the content. Teachers then have immediate access to personalized data profiles to guide instructional decision-making.

Based on their results, learners are seamlessly placed in interactive online instruction. NC WiseOwl
NC WiseOwl offers databases, ebooks, and websites paid for by the state of NC for public school children. There offer many resources to include dictionaries, encyclopedias, video, and magazine and articles. Students are also able to search for science and social studies topics. Additionally, there are some cool Learning Zones games for k-2 to play and learn from.
